Breast surgery – Correction of inverted nipple
So-called inverted nipples can be either congenital or they might form during life due to some infection or wound by surgeries. Inverted nipples can represent an obstacle during breast feeding and personal hygiene, when there might appear inflammations caused by infections. The surgery is performed under local anesthesia. The patient must undergo a mammography examination before the treatment and must be acquainted with the risk of not being able to breast feed in the future.
